Ron,

Your rear air suspension assist should help this launch shudder situation by keeping a constant ride height (and, thus, pinion angle) whether loaded or unloaded. My 2016 doesn't squat that much under the pin weight of our Mobile Suites, but it will go from tail-high to level when I hitch up. I don't know yet whether this is enough to trigger launch shudder or not. Of course, the stiffer springs of the 2016 as compared to the 2011 should help with the axle wrap. Summary - the jury's still out in my case. Hopefully you're right and I'll never experience it with the new truck.

Rusty just for fun when you are loaded measure the top of your bed to the ground at the corner, mine is 55" in alt ride height at full rear axle capacity.

I just took off today on a steep start and NO shudder/axle wrap at all. I don't "think" the rear air ride makes a difference.

I upgraded from a 1500 Ecodiesel to this DRW 2 days ago. I've got the 6 speed manual. So far, I'm loving the move. What brand of sidesteps are those?
