New 2016 truck - How does the rear window defroster work?

Might seem like a silly question at this time of year, but how does it work? Normally there would be lines on it for the heating element. I don't see any lines, but I do have the rear window defroster button.

Had the truck for 3 days and still have a LOT to learn!

The button does both the tow mirror defrost and the rear window defrost, if you have both. Since you can't see the heating element on the window.......Rear window defrost is an option.

Ahh....OK. Thanks! Yes, I have heated tow mirrors, so that makes sense.
