I installed the 4 inch Janetty exhaust kit over the weekend... still need to make 2 more hangars, but it's in! Muffler and all.

The kit fit ok... had to make a few mods and do some tweaking to get everything to line up just right, but it wasn't bad.

Truck is a little louder but still quiet. I can still hear that Cummins purr, and that's the way I like it.

Made some pretty good performance gains... just like all you guys said I would.

Turbo spool up is remarkably quicker, and I gained at least 2 psi. But the big gain is spool up..... the boost needle jumps right up there.

Turbo cooldown time is also greatly reduced.

All in all, why didn't I do this sooner?

:D

Is that a new product from Jannety? Last time I checked their website they only had a 3" listed for 1st generation trucks.

My truck mods are on hold for a while - just finished spending about two grand on axles and lockers for the Jeep:eek: - but an exhaust system is towards the top of the list..... whenever the $$$ is finally available. ;)

Don't know. We were e-mailing back and forth and I asked if he could offer a 4 inch complete kit.

He said yes. Janetty is local to me so I figured I could save on shipping if he was competetive. And he was. I know he did not make the product... he ordered it from somewhere.

Pipes were individual, muffler was a boxed "Allied" muffler, and the hangar kit was boxed with no name on it.

Man, I feal really stupid... . what are DD3's? I thought those only went on 2nd gen trucks???? Did you adapt them, or am I mis-informed?

The nozzles on the 1st gens (7mm only) and 2nd gen 12v's are interchangable. However, the nozzle holders (injector bodies) are different.
