Competition New 5" exhaust for the poor D-max

So I was forced to get exhaust for the 97. My muffler actually just cracked in half so I was FORCED to go spend the money on the 4" downpipe and 5" out the back. As soon as I hit the highway, a Duramax with sticker's all over it wanted to play. Me and Shelby (bombed 24V cummins) lined up 3 wide on the highway and let him have it! It was horrible, but the guy was cool and gave us a wave when it was over. It really feels like the exhaust helped in lockup (OD), but seems to be making just enough more power to be hurting my stock transmission a bit more in 1-2-3-4 shifts. Getting close to the DTT!!

How bad did you spank him? Did the 24 valve eat him up? Do you think the dmax was bombed or just advertising the things he wants in the back window

Ya, the 24V beat him up too. I don't think it was bombed much if at all. I saw a K&N sticker and some other parts stickers but I don't think he had some huge chip or it wouldn't have been so bad.
