My new 600CTD,QC,4x4, LWB, Laramie was ordered 12-31-03 and the plant release (KZ) was on 03-24-04.

Since then DC keeps saying the truck was loaded on a railcar at Saltillo, Mexico on 3-24 and is on its way. The DC dealer website (Insight) keeps posting the present date as the future railcar loading date.

DC can not give me a railcar number and say the train is probably at customs at the border waiting for clearance to enter USA.

I find it hard to believe what DC is telling me. Anyone have any suggestions or similar experience that can advise me of what might be going on?

My new Wilderness Advantage AX6 5er comes tomorrow and no truck to tow it.

Thanks

I had a similar experience. My truck went KZ on 3-25 and then Insight showed no further activity until last night, 4-05. I'd been calling DC every day and getting the same story as you. In reality, I think the trucks just sit on a parking lot, or on a siding, waiting for a train to form up that's heading your way.

Starting late last night Insight showed a flurry of activity, train departures & locations on the way to Laredo. I called DC first thing this AM and they had a railcar number for me. As of 19:13 Union Pacific's web site shows the train is somewhere called Milo, TX (which I can't find on a map).

So, sorry, your truck is probably still sitting stationary in Mexico.

You just gotta bite the bullet and wait :(

I waited 5 months for my truck to be built and shipped from Mexico. Worth the wait - the build quality is the best I've ever seen in an american car/truck.

The dealer I was at last night has been waiting for her trucks to be released from the shipping terminal for 1 month. The terminal is only 60 miles away and they have just been sitting there.
