I do not intend for this to become a specific vendor bashing or anything like that. Much testing or not, I've been racing turbos for over a decade and I've seen results contrary to what is claimed by this hose setup under high demands of a turbo. I'm simply stating buyer beware and make sure to run a very UNrestrictive air filter.

I can also tell you that the heat transfer savings isn't even worth mentioning. Not only is it pre-intercooler it's also pre-compressor. You won't see 1 deg difference pre-turbo let alone post intercooler.

I know the Cool Blue hose/TAG work together. I was wondering if the new TT works with the TAG? Kyle, have you guys had a chance to look at it yet?

Well, my new AFE tube showed up Friday, and if you cant tell by the pics that were posted, its got a "crinkle" finish on it, similar to what the factory plastic pieces would have, except it seems to me the bumps on it are a little bigger. I think it would be a very hard piece to keep clean. All in all, its a kit that maybe costs 15-20 bucks to make. I sure dont feel that its worth the 95, so mines going back. Looks like the cool blue hose is in my future... ...

I just put the AFE Stage II with the proguard 7 filter on mine last sat and I do not like there so called new design of the torque tube. For me its so slick its hard to hold and get any leverage on and I did not like the way the coupling they give you fit on the turbo and the tube goes into it. It's not that good of a design to me. I had a hard time getting it and the tube to fit on the turbo. I got it on but I am disappointed in AFE's design of this. For the price they good do a hell of a lot better. There is not much clearance between it and the oil filter on my truck we will see if it stands up to the heat from the oil filter. And I had to make the slot longer so I could get the screw in that attaches the tube to the filter plate. I have only drove it twice since I put it on and you do hear more turbo whine is about all I can say for it now.

Saturday, I installed my pg7 and torque tube that I recieved Friday the 4th of this month. Looks and works great... The cool thing for me is that I got the mandrel bent tube and not the "new design" and the weird thing is that I placed my order after this thread was actually started not relizing it. At least by some freak mistake I got lucky.
