For those of you looking for new style and performance look no further, Diesel Performance of Utah has the answer, all new hood with new air box and intercooler down pipe. We believe there is nothing available on the market that can match our induction systems. Any one wanting more information e-mail me at hotdiesel@webcombo .net. The price of a hood and air box installed and painted is 1300. 00 or do it yourself and save a few bucks.

Hotdiesel sent me two pics, one of under the hood and one of the top of the hood... . I can't figure out how to post a pic into this message or you all would be looking at em right now... ... . very interesting... ... wish he had sent a pic of how it all works on the motor..... someone needs to go vist and do a visual inspection.

I gotta say the one HEMIDart posted looks a lot "cleaner"... . although doesnt' appear to be as functional.

IMHO, This looks cool, but is expensive. The Psycotty air will provide the same, maybe better results. The NASCAR style induction of the Psycotty air is proven and doesn't cost $1300.

What is the price uninstalled and painted? I live in Omaha and would have to have it shipped here. Also do you have any more pictures of it installed on the engine? I am curious as to how it looks in the engine compartment, in the hood open pic you can only see part of the engine. Does the hood weigh the same as stock or slightly more?
How heavy is it so I may inquire about shipping it?

I kinda like the way it looks but how functional is it?

This hood is all about function. Take a look
at the hood on Dr. P's truck and you will find that he has this same product on his LSR truck. It is a fiberglass piece with a top and a bottom and an air cavity between. The air is scooped up by the inlets and exits the hood into the 6" round pipes within the engine compartment. On pipe cools the intake air line from the CAC to the elbow on top of the engine and the other goes to the airbox. I am told it will be at May Madness.
