amsoil just relesed the new nanofiber clamp on filter, it is non oil and flow as good as a k&n. the filter will out filter the top filters on the market, and will fit almost all of them, 3, 3 1/2, 4, 4 1/2. are the sizes. go to www.amsoil.com for more info. Oo.

This filter looks good and should flow more than the oiled ones. Cleaning and reoiling filters is a pain and takes up too much time. The dry paper filters have out performed the oiled gause filters in test but they can't get wet. I would like to see how these perform and clean up.

Oo. these are not paper filters, they are synthetic fiber---they perform the same wet or dry, the technology is called nanofiber technology---its the same used by donaldson, they are the originators of the fiber, amsoil uses it in our full flow filters and the by-pass----99% effiecient @ 2 microns absolute!!!! while still being able to hold more and flow more. pretty cool stuff :-laf

Yah, wouldn't you know it, I just ordered and received the drop in replacement one and now they come out with one that would probably been better.

What are the dimensions for the 4" intake one?

Amsoil drop in.

After experimenting with numerous aftermarket filters including BHAF and Afe stage 1, I've returned to the stock box with Amsoil's nanofilter. I recently had Smarty s. w. #9 downloaded temporarily into my ECM and even under full throttle I was unable to pull down the filterminder. The stock box on my 2nd gen. and a free-flowing element seems to be a good compromise. Much easier on the ears too. blacksheep 4x4 took care of me.

4" is what you will need for your stage 1 Oo.

4", is that the flange ID or the top OD size. They are a little expensive to just order and hope you get the right one. Thanks.

I have no doubt that this new filter flows better, but I would still love to see an independent test on its filtering capacity and efficiency/ability. Anybody know of one being done?

All tests done on Amsoil products are done by independent companies. You can look on Amsoils website to see the results.

I use the shop vac on the outside with small bristles. It removes the tree needles and bugs.

I don't think that getting it wet and using a cleaner are approved methods.
