New ATS Question 24 to 12 valve

I just got delivery of the manifold. I thought I ordered a 24 valve set up and this looks like a 12 valve set up. The manifold mating flanged are round not square.



Anybody got an answer that has installed these. I don't want to break down the exhaust untill I find out. Its tool late in the day to call ATS so I hope they are open on Saturday.

24 valves have ROUND Ports

12 valves have SQUARE Ports

OOOOOOOOOOOOOh I feel much better now. Since I have never had the exhaust manifold off, I did not know. In looking at a picture on the web, I would have thought that the square ones were for the 24 valve. I guess that I just made the assumption that the way the picture was arranged with the square on the bottom and the listing of a 24 valve on the bottom in the price sheet, that they were a match by positioning.

Will be going to Rip Rooks for the 4 inch exhaust this Friday.

Took me about 8 hours as I had to do some figuring on how two get the thing assembled. Answer is to put the ends in the freezer for 30 minutes and slowly heat the center up. Next problem is alignment. Once it is together I had to bolt the forward up and heat the center again and use a brass drift and a small 2 lb sledge to tap it into alignment, as I had put it too far together and the bolts holes would not line up on the head to the manifold between sections.



This is a nice manifold though. Allot beefer than the stock DC one. I am very happy with the results and now I really have to watch my foot as I can get into some serious trouble.



The wife asked what this "thing" was for and I told here that it was an exhaust manifold and that it would allow th engine to breath better or flow and that we would get better fuel mileage. She went "YEA RIGHT, YOU JUST WANT MORE POWER", to which I responded "Well that is just a benefit"



I like what it does. I like the way it looks. And I like the way the truck runs. Come on Friday, I need the 4 inch exhaust
