I guess I had been doing too much bragging that I still had my original automatic transmission with no problems and over 250k miles on it. Well it slipped about a month ago with a heavy trailer going up the grade out of Needles,Ca on I40 when it was 115 degrees out. I was hoping it was just due to the extreme heat since I had ran about another 15k miles since then but it started slipping pretty good again this past weekend.
I called Jason at ATS in Denver on Monday to see when I could get in and get one of theirs put in and he said be there on Thursday. I got here today and they said hopefully I will be out of here by the end of the day but no such luck. It was all installed but they weren't completely happy with it when they roadtested it so they are gonna check a few things out tomorrow. It is a ATS rebuilt 48re with their 5star viscus clutch drive and deep pan and Copilot transmission controller and I had them add a trans cooler. I hope they get everything figured out tomorrow since I don't want to sit here til Tuesday.
