Delivered just last night...



Weighing in at ~7141 lbs. Right around 8 weeks from order to delivery.



So far, I'm extremely pleased.



Need to get some flaps on. ASAP.

Cool white was one of my choices too, but it got nixed by the one who cashes my checks... .



Get the flaps for sure, I put full running boards on too, much easier to get in the cab and the bed... so far between the front and rear flaps & the boards, no rock chips! ( and I live on a gravel road, those duallies really like to throw rock when I hit pavement!)



While you have the chance, lube the rear hubs with anti-seize or your choice, before the winter sets in! (Like when you pull the wheels to drill for your rear flaps!!!) I found a light coat of rust there already at the first week or so.

Thanks guys for the well wishes and all the great info here on the TDR.



I find myself taking the long way to work. And the radio isn't getting much use -- I'd rather listen to the Cummins going through the gears.



BTW, the overhead was showing 14. 9 for the 30 mile test drive. I reset for a late night joy ride and was showing 16. 4 overall (peak was 19+). This was mixed driving, 75% freeway at 65ish.



I think MPG will be within an acceptable range (high teens empty IMO) when it gets broken in.



Jacobs brake is on hold until they figure it out. Might go with a Pac.

She's a beauty. Remember she's only new once, so put the protection on BEFORE it gets all scratched up. I always seem to have the best intentions in this regard, but it never works out 100%. In my case the dealer chose to drive the truck in from another dealer 200 mi away in the winter. Voila, pre-chipped!

I decided on black composite cab-length running boards with the Husky moulded flaps front and back. Fairly well protected, but I was still getting chips on the front of the dually fenders and quite a few on the hood. I then added a mopar bug deflector in Patriot Blue and a guy is coming next week to install a 3M clear paint protection film on the bottom (body line down) as well as the top of the bumper and above the headlights. Cost is around $450. 00 Canadian and I got to look at another truck and a buddies car who had it done and it is very clean looking. Can't tell its there unless you actually look for it.

Our trucks appear to be identical other than year and color. I sure love mine.

Yes, it's an NV-5600. Wasn't sure I wanted to be a beta tester for the Getrag.



I did find the NV-5600 to be hard shifting (truck had 5 miles on the odometer) -- especially into reverse. But either it is loosening up a bit or the inexperienced operator factor is diminishing or both. Enjoying the shifting more and more. Might get a BD.



And 610 lb/ft. Woohooo! Better enjoy it while I can, cause it'll be 615 lb. /ft. or something mid year. And then my new baby won't be the latest and greatest anymore.



I'm giving some thought to doing the 3M film on the rockers.

The shifting does either get easier or you adapt quickly, I'm not sure which is more significant, though I suspect the latter.



Hey, what's with the 7141lbs? Mine weighs 8338 lbs on a certified scale with me, a full tank of diesel, my add-ons (boards, flaps, bed mat, camper tie downs) and junk.

I grabbed the 7,141# from the DC website. Maybe I misread and took the wrong number.



Have not weighed the truck myself yet, but that seems light from what I've read here (from yourself and others). Maybe they snuck one of those aluminum transmissions in there on me. I better look!



I was itching for an excuse to drive somewhere tonight. The wife was asleep on the sofa. So me and the dog went for a ride. :-laf



I like this truck even more every time I drive it.

I thought curb weight on these was like 7670#! When i have my aux. fuel tank and all my mobile wash equipment in the back I tip the scales at 9620# !! Pity the stupid ricer that pulls out in front of me! :-laf

Congrats! Looks awesome. Gotta love the dually! What type/brand of mud flaps are you looking to install? I've got to install a pair on mine as well.

Mudflap choice is almost as controversial as religion or politics. :-laf



I'm not keen on diamondplate or the molded plastic ones. I saw some of the plain ol' rubber ones and I liked them.



So I have the Mopar rubber ones coming. And they're not very expensive (list for $35/pr). So I don't think it a great loss if I swap them out later for something else.



The Mopar numbers are 82207118 (front) and 82207704 (rear, dually). I've got them on order from Wyckoff here: http://www.wyckoff-mopar-parts.com/dodramac.html for $31. 50/pr.
