I have to replace my rear bumper, and someone else is going to pay for it. I want to get a quality unit, not a reman that is gonna rust out in 2 years. I am fine with the stock bumper style. Just looking for sources and suggestions. If I can get a good replacement via the dealer, should I stay with local? Or do you have someone you really like that discounts to TDR or AAA members?

(I pull a regular travel trailer, Jayco 31 BHS, and eventually we are gonna buy some quads, and put them in the bed and over the cab. )

The oem bumper is really no more then a tin can, though it looks alright.

You really can't go wrong with the Reunel with integrated trailer hitch rated to #15K as a replacement for the oem tin can.

I particularly like mine in the polished stainless steel with integral back-up lights and custom SS chain shackles. Don't know how much they are now, but IIRC they worked me out a nice deal for my custom add-ons and then gave me a cash discount when I went to pick it up. They also install for free if you can make it down there. They are locate near Yuba City in California, right off Hwy 5.

Here is a link to a pic in another thread... Look at post #3 for the pix

@ seafish, Thanks for the info. I am just a few miles from Torklift, so gonna set an appt on the 21st, to see what they can do. I know the stock bumper is just a step above a paint protector, so I was waiting until I had to. A nice lady is going to write me a check for the stock R&R, then I will go from there.

@FFL8N, That Fab Four fits really well. Are you the one that was gonna put some lights behind the cut-outs?

When I was searching thru the forum before I posted the question, I saw one where the owner was considering that.

I installed driving lights off the rear frame rail, worked great until I slipped on my Rock Tamers. Those driving lights are bright, but they won't burn thru the mudflaps.

I will come back with pics of whatever I choose. Thanks for info.

I'm very happy with my Buckstop. Since I already had LED work lights, I used the light holes in the bumper for LED STT lights.

Forget Buckstop ! I have Buckstop front and rear with their super duper powder coat process. Both bumpers are heavily rusted and peeling. This summer I am going to blast both and paint. Secondly, the rear Buckstop is no where near the quality of the front construction. Last fall, a ennie weenie rice burner backed into my rear bumper. Made it rotate at least 1 inch up in the air and pushed in one side. My opinion, Buckstop is not what their advertising says it is.

Sorry so long getting back to this thread, I didn't get much from the insurance company, ended up being easier to use the 'recommended' shop, and just get a new rear bumper. Since I have known the owner of the shop for 30+ years, he was able to get a factory bumper from Dodge for the same price the insurance reman would have been, and I had them do my lower rear bed panel. I had scratched it up pretty good, and since it was in the shop, and the bumper was off, made it a bit cheaper for the work.
