i was driving the truck and it started to stumble and then died i knew the tps was bad so i replaced it truck still wont start so i bled the injectors. no fuel is coming out. i checked the lift pump every thing seems to be fine with it i checked the schrader valve and fuel comes out of that when the lift pump is running. im out of ideas please help im stuck in ohio and i need to get home tommorow :{

Sorry this probably won't be much help, but if it cranks and no fie then no fuel, I know if this happens on the older trucks its fuel shut-off solenoid, check your fuses for one that might be labeled fuel or something. I wish I could help more, good luck!

Does your Tach show RPM when cranking the Engine? If not, it might be a bad Crankshaft position sensor... caused my 99 conversion not to start. They cost about $30 from the dealer. Located right behind the starter. Remove starter replace sensor replace starter. My $. 02 John

Also no codes will be thrown by the computer with a bad crankshaft position sensor. Did yoy have any codes?

My 99 threw a code when the CPS went. Since mine is an early 99 it doesn't display on the odometer - had to get a scan tool, which pulled the code. Can't remember what the number was but, never had a problem after replacing the CPS.

I hate to say it, but you may be right in thinking it is the VP44. If you are getting fuel to the VP44 and can't get any out the injectors... . :( Yours would not be the first to die this way.

VP44

Others will sympathise with drews expensive weekend yet very good fuel mileage from Dayton, OH to Adrian, MI :-laf
