Practical Solution's built me a boost module that is matched to the new MAP output of the 2001 models. This unit clamps the output signal to the ECM at 2. 5 vdc. Test results are as expected; 32 psi boost without derating fueling. With voltage max at 2. 5, I get full fueling at and above 22-23 psi.

2001's with modules that clip at 2. 0 vdc are not getting additional fueling beyond 13-15 psi, which is 2. 0v on the new MAPs.

Thank you, CannonBall. It's been a pleasure working with you on this development. And thanks to all y'all who responded with input to topic "Need feedback from other ETH owners".

Little Bill,

Would you say it delivers noticeably more power once you pass the 20psi boost point (whereas it would have been cutting back otherwise?). Would you say full-power acceleration was about the same as stock, noticeably stronger, quite a bit stronger--how would you characterize it?

Thanks, Vaughn

I have a 2001 auto ETC motor with the hard line waste gate. About two weeks ago we installed DD1's, a elbow and Keith Wing's 10. 00 boost module. I now get 32 psi of boost with no problems at all. No smoke but from the tires. No check engine lights and it runs great.

Does the 2001. 5 ETH DEE have a hard line for the waste gate? Is there some type of seal on the pump connector that would void the warranty if a VA is installed?

<font color=blue>I haven't seen any 01. 5's yet but I have seen a 01 ETH that has the "elbow" type wastegate. The "hardlined" wastegates you hear about are generally on the 01 Auto's. I have also heard rumors that DC is putting a sticker on the connecter you have to remove to connect the VA. But I haven't seen this for my own eyes yet.

Vaughn,

Shortly after I got truck I moved the wastegate line from the turbo outlet to the intake manifold. This yielded an additional 2-3 psi over the stock 19-20. The difference was noticeable at WOT in 4th thru 6th. It was kind of flat at 2200+ before. Much peppier after.

The effect of the boost module beyond the aforementioned is unnoticeable. Other than boost as high as I want it, it is transparent. Now I'm ready for injector research.

Okay, how do I get in contact with these folks? I have either overlooked their website link or am blind. I am interested in obtaining one for my ETH and increasing my potential. Boost is up to 23 lbs. or so. What are the EGT's at a 55 -70 MPH cruise??
