All we want is the truth, are you affiliated with Bullydog.

Its not a bad thing if you are, It s good when the vendors come on and talk about their product. But dont BS anyone under a false pretense.

OK-OK!, Not trying to BS anyone! What I am is a Diesel repair shop that also sells Bullydog. These new downloaders/outlookmonitors were sent to a few of us to try out. Now, I see diesels in my shop regularly that have been f---ed up by too much fuel & egts. Is The new downloader the biggest stick on the block? That remains to be seen. But I Know it isnt youre average 0-50-100 box everyone else is selling, It makes ALOT! of hp & seems safe. Guys it aint all about who makes the most hp. To me its all about who makes the most hp & keeps em together. Bullydog does that!

What I don't understand is:

1). why it is listed under 'Gauges and Pods' and not under 'Performance Modules'.

2. ) why the Bully Dog site makes no mention of power levels or horsepower/torque claims.

3. ) why they say:

"This one of a kind monitor gives the most precise, stable and accurate gauge reading in the industry. Example: Bully Dog displays turbo boost pressure in 1/10 lb. increment instead of competitor reading of more than 2 lb. increments. "

Still looks like a great monitor to me.

Hello guys,

According to Bullydog, We are talking about 2 products. One is a downloader to the ECM that changes programing and adds HP. One is a monitor that tells boost EGT 0-60 and 1/4 mile times etc. I have installed the second item in a SRT-10 pillar and will report my findings soon. Preliminary findings are very good.

More to come

I'm working with Bullydog directly in conjunction with the box article. So if we can please keep the hype down and the facts up that would be great. I expect there will be some attractive features to a downloader, so I'll be sorting out fact from fiction on that. For example, a downloader is a risk in that it could either corrupt the factory programming or leave a timestamp or trail that can be followed or detected. But I know Bullydog is working on all these issues and won't release until they have a solid product. I sure wouldn't let a downloader insert code into *MY* ECM without a clear understanding of what it does.

As with any new product intro, we need to try and avoid the sensationalism and concentrate on the facts. In particular, pre-release or beta test products are not the most reliable for test reports, because they may or may not represent what will actually ship. I dont' want Bullydog to get a bad rap here due to over sensationalizing, nor do I want preliminary test results to be any different from what will be released to the public. no I'm no moderator; just trying to preserve objectivity.

Also, here on edit: just a word of advice. the respected suppliers and retailers and distributors here on this board make their affiliation known without the appearance of a hidden agenda. So thanks indeed for clearing that up.
