New Cable service is awesome

Well Imoved into a new apartment (almost) and my new internet connection is a blast. Just seems all around faster. I had/have COX cable, now I have Qwest Telechoice Online (its what serves these apartments). Anyhow just testing it out and liking it.



For anyone who cares heres what http://www.speedguide.net shows :



Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2594. 4 kbps (324. 3 KBytes/s) @ 200ms

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1037. 76 kbps (129. 72 KBytes/s) @ 500ms



The Cox connections says 700 kbps and 280 kbps (don't have the exact numbers handy) Anyhow this seems to be an improvement. I'll take it. Looks like I have about tripled the speed and I haven't even optimized the PC yet. . I love it. The COX numbers were on my laptop that IS optimized. . so I got room to improve even more.

geeees thanks Kat... and I'm sitting here with two cans and a string...

they won't run cable up here and to far from ma bell for the DSL... only alternative is the satalite... maybe some day after I move to the NW

Some day I hope to up grade to two cans and a string. Right now were still using homing racoons, no pigeons around here.
