Hello everybody,
I have a 2006 4X4 with the 48RE and is all stock. It has 185,000 miles on it and runs great. I just purchased a new 7300# camper. The data sheet shows Texas Tow Group (AHC). Aux Trans oil cooler (NHB). 7 Pin wiring harness (XFK). Hitch-Class IV Receiver (XFH). My question is am I prewired for electric brakes and depending on your expert answers what are my options. Thank you for your help.

Yes, the plug for your brake controller connection is located just above the brake pedal under the dash.

Go to etrailer.com and look at their selection of controllers. The offer custom pigtails to go from the factory connector to the controller, making it completely plug and play. Even if you buy a controller elsewhere, you can order the pigtail from them.
