Double trailering in Florida

Honda EU2000, run time and theft

Just got a new Big TEX 18'/7K car trailer so thought I would go get a pallet of concrete block from Home Depot. Well the Jack A... ... fork lift operator dropped the pallet of block pretty hard on the rear end of the trailer. Thought that the hitch and ball where going to separate and lift the dual off the ground. Does anyone have a recommendation for a jack arrangement on the trailer back end to support it when loading and be able to retrack it after the load is properly placed on the trailer. ??

I wanted a 10k tilt bed but I was lkucky to get this one past my dear wife ;)

Stabilzer jacks are what you need, plus if you are going to be hauling stuff like that all the time, you should have gone with the heavier axles. ALSO a weight distributing hitch set up can be worth its weight in gold also! If you want a really nice open trailer check out Terry'sTrailers out of Midwest City Oklahoma, and check out the "Challenger" line of trailer and see what you think. I am their western U. S. distributor. ;)

I always just keep a couple of crib blocks in my bed. Hard lesson learned by me with a 420d cat hoe and a gmc topkick. Always block the trailer now and its a cheap fix.

There was a local man killed recently while loading a tractor on a flatbed trailer. The weight of the tractor on the rear of the trailer lifted the rear pickup wheels enough to lose braking traction; the rig took off, hit a tree, rolled the tractor, killed the operator. A few blocks would have saved much grief.

Thanks for the replies. Think a couple of 5k stabilizer jack will work just right along with some blocks. Will be getting a tool box tomorrow to stow all my rigging. I

I know I should have gone bigger but the wife had one of those go ahead moments and didn't want to fund anymore. Got to take it when I can. :D

Sometimes I need to load/unload a car when the gooseneck trailer is not hooked up.

I have a small "portable" floor jack (rated around 1½ tons) that I'll use in addition to stabilizer jacks. The problem with normal jack stands is that after the weight is on the trailer and the tires flex a bit, it may be a bit of a problem getting the weight off standard jack stands. The stabilizer jacks (Walmart - cheap) will "unscrew" and the portable floor jack will help take the weigh off.
