I posted this on TDG, so now here.
Here's what we're doing in Georgia. Jeff has contacted Eric McBride on a class we call the Farm Truck Racing League. We will race under the DHRA banner as of now.
Here's what we got. Any mod to your truck except turbo. Stacked boxes, injectors, chassis mods, tires, transmission, anything you want to do.
Now the can't do. Any modification to the turbo is OK, but it has to be stock to the truck. If it comes with a HX 35, that's what you run with. Any mods to it , but a 35 none the same. No spray, water, or gas. None at all. This will be a 100% diesel.
As of now, we will run off a pro tree, no bracket style race. Heads up, first to the traps wins. Basically it will be some what like Pro Street, only one turbo.
The weight on each truck is to be 6000 lbs. Changes can be made so what do you think? On my truck, I'll have to add weight.
Some others have said this will be a DuraMax class. We'll, I building a 94 Cummins that says that just aint so.
If anybody would want to setup a series in your state, great. Setup your series and have a run off. Top 4, top 6, whatever. Then we can meet at a track for the championship from all the states combined. Maybe like Commerce or wherever. That's to be decieded. All this is in the planning stag so what ever you comments are, let us know.
Jeff Garmon will run the Georgia races, David (the dyno) Dunbar will keep up with al the point, and Patrick, a racer will be our tech.
All trucks are welcome to run, but the rules will be enforced, so there will be no unfair advantage. Such as, if your truck is plumbed for nitros, you will not be allowed to run, bottle or no bottle. The truck will have to be in such a way that no possibility is there that it can be used.
Now , any suggestions, bring um on. We will be running this in Georgia next year. We have 8 trucks as of now.
