SBC, Haisley & EEP all make good dual disks but SBC seems to back up there clutches better than anyone else and that goes a long way. JR Adkins or Olee Poole can get you some good prices on a south bend or you can go to Peter directly.

If you get a dual disk, remember to upgrade the slave/master cylinder on the clutch (from a 12valver). EEP has them and SBC I think is starting to carry them. if you choose to modify your own slave/master cylinder for use with a dual disk, there is a member on here whose name is Jeff that can send you instructions on how to do it (forgot his screen name but i have his email).

Best SBC prices are at www.dieselhelp.com

Talk to Greg to get the jobber price. He will give you the details. My SBC MU1947 Con FE was $815 plus like $40 for shipping. His descriptions on the web page are a little off they could mislead you to get the non-eth package for towing which isn't right. We already have the 13 inch clutch so you don't need a modified flywheel. Just get the part number from the SBC page (www.southbendclutch.com) and give Greg a call. He can get any clutch SBC has just give him the SBC part number and he will give you the price. He also has Bully Dog power pups cheaper than I have seen anywhere else.

Just purchased a CenterForce clutch and pressure plate and price was right.

I watched a dyno run at 557rwhp 1050tq with a CenterForce set up and no slippage

Works for me

Yep, on Saturday you sure did seem to need it. I guess we'll see where you are in October! I'll bet you'll have a new set of rears by then, though :-laf

No slippage on the dyno but what about on the street? Holeshots? Third gear launches? These are the things that proove a strong clutch. My $. 02

I don't think any single disc will hold 500 to 600hp long term. I have slipped a SBC single with my truck and a couple of my buddies have done the same with theirs. If you just drive it normal you may get away with it, but drag racing, pulling or dynoing forget it. Do yourself a favor and get a Dual Disc.

Truck has twins/injectors/chip and a ton of other mods and tows a 26' car enclosed car hauler with a 11' cabover camper and has never slipped yet going over mountains or racing

It is the cerametallic. somedays it works fine... Some days it wont even hold 5th gear. Last dyno was 439 and like 800 torque.

You get what you pay for... .

My Haisley street puller should be here any day! Oo.
