clutch ticking noise?

Yesterday I installed a South Bend 13" Con OFE clutch for the 6-speed and it is working better then the 12-1/4" OFE I pulled out. It took away just about all my gear rattle that I had pretty bad and engages smoother so far. It probably won't stay this smooth as it breaks in though.

My question is that I now have a light ticking sound only on acceleration. I hear nothing at all on deceleration or idle. If I depress the clutch peddle just a tiny bit like maybe 1/2" the sound goes away leading me to think it has something to do with the release bearing contact with the pressure plate (but then why only acceleration??). Anyone heard of anything like this? The clutch engages very smooth and I feel no pulsing in the pedal at all. Also I think the noise MIGHT be getting slightly less over time. I will just ride it out I guess and see what happens but would love to hear any input on this. Thanks, Mark

It's not getting any better after all. Last night I did notice a very slight sound at idle also but I could hardly hear it. It sounds kind of like a valve tapping with a side of bee bees being shaken around.
