looking for advice and expierience with my cp3, not sure if i should buy a new one for an 06 cummins, or have my old one with 56000 miles on it worked over, i heard the new cp3 has different internal changes and flows a lot better than the old one, anyone done this or had theres modified..... :)

I heard that the 600-610's were reworked also. Personally if I were looking for rooom to grow HPwise, I would mod the current one.

I just got off the phone with John Isaac of Floor-It Diesel, and he has a working prototype of the "stage 1" modified CP3 - I hear it was able to keep the rail it 30k psi even with the TST(twins program) on 7,7 and with Don's F-1 injectors... .

So it looks like the CP3 mods are starting to come out of the wood work

does anyone know what a new cp3 costs

You can find rebuilt ones for about $1000 or less, Or one off a wrecked truck for about the same I hear, BUT new from dodge???

R5104877AA - NEW - $1255 for a TDR member - But it is a STAR item, So I would have to check about getting them, They always want to know exactly why you want the item if it is a STAR part... Lets see, Because thats how sales works, I give you money, You sell me the part - GOT IT?? nevermind that I want to tear it apart and mod the heck out of it!! ;)

I hate STAR!

Cummins NW just quoted me $1020. 50 for a new CP3 for my 03. Part #3972814NX Wierd part is there's a $515 core charge. Part's guy didn't understand either

thats crap, new is new, remanufactured needs the core.

In a Cummins part number an "N" at the end indicates a new part and a "X" at the end indicated an exchange or core charge. You explain it.
