all hail banks... ... ... don't get me started on them, basically the 5600 has proven itself from serious pullers, not from banks... Please rethink your theory on why the 5600 has proven itself.

ps I am not talking about pulling trailers

hey gary I call you and left a message I got a cover for your im31 call me monday if you are around... .

FYI-

4. 10 gearing IS NOT available with this trans yet...

Just thought I'd share that, as i thought that was a bit wierd

No 4. 10 option? transmission strength might be a problem. I can't believe they would use a transmission borderline in strength. I did see a hp/tq curve for the 600 from cummins and at the bottom of the chart it said you only got ~450 ft-lbs tq in low gear.

Hmm, I thought it might be because of the taller OD gear... with the . 79 OD, the 4. 10 might make the highway drive a bit rpm'y (pronouced "rpm-ee")

Well if it is the strength of the transmission they could have the computer reduce the power even more to protect the weak link in all the low gears. If it's like your thinking with the 0. 79 sixth that would be a problem for mileage. I need to change my attitude I am looking at the glass half empty and TG your looking at the glass half full! I need to give them the benefit of the doubt. With that gearing 4. 10 and 0. 79 your looking at 60mph=2,065rpm, 70=2410, 80=2754 and 3,200rpm= 92. 9mph.

is it just me or does it feel like we are going backwards?

yOU HAVE IT BACKWARDS. The 4. 10 would actually make it easier on the transmission not harder. Probably due to the fact the G56 has a 6 something to 1 first gear and a . 79 to one 6th, which makes the 3. 73's like 4. 10s.

My O5 came in today (built on the 19th of January). Surprise to me, it has the NV and not the G56, so I guess I'm glad. Plus the shift pattern of the G56 is odd, with reverse adjacent to 2nd down low. . I think I like the NV pattern better.
