This morning I decided to go out into the country and adjust some of the smoke out of my engine while it accellerates. I have the medium spring installed. I had to adjust the star wheel about half way across the hole to get enough preload on the diaghragm. It now will still smoke like hell if you stand on it but will just give a puff and go under normal driving. These new delivery valves are great. Lots of torque. While I was tinkering, I decided to make up a temporary line to the cab to check backpressure on my BD brake. I am getting 60 pounds exhaust pressure which is good. I also noticed however that when I stab the engine with the brake off, I get 10 psi back pressure in the elbow. Ouch. The engine definately needs some work on the exhaust side.
Steve - Not smokin quite as bad in CA

Steve, I went ahead and ordered the delivery valves too. On the smoke issue, do you think the smoke level is as bad as when you first put in the 370's or would you say worse. I'm not to worried about the smoke , just curious.

I guess it's about the same as when I first installed the the injectors. That is when I switched from the light spring to the medium spring in the AFC. It gave me about the same increase in power too. After dialing it back today, the truck is just slightly slower to spool up but will still spin both the tires as it builds boost in third and the smoke is all but gone unless your on it hard. The boost pressure on the top end did not change. I'm guessing that mileage might pick up a little since I can no longer see where I've been in the mirror! #ad

WHere do you purchase delivery valves? and how much do they cost?

Yes that's where I bought my delivery valves which I posted about above. They are very knowledgeable and will talk to you about what it is that you are trying to achieve. Remember they sell different valves for different applications some of which are tricked out modified valves that may be more than what you want or need. While your at the web site check out the pictures of the white dodge pulling. Awesome.
