I went ahead and placed the order today. Tomorrow is the last day to order for this year, so, due to a price increase next year, I moved on it.

FMAX 208, 102"x28', max ramps, sway control, winch plate/receiver, drivers side tool box, ratchet rail on the driver side with 6 winches, spare tire (17.5) with 8k torsion axles. About 2.5k in options w/18k gvw. This will include the 16" engineered beam main frame and Fleetneck gooseneck w/bolt on jacks. They claim they are the strongest and lightest on the market.

Very similar to this one, only singles and 4' shorter

Just checked DC's web site, my trailers MSRP went up $800 this year or 4%. I really like their web site, I think it is the only one I have seen that prices the trailers and some options. Other than manufacturers that sell direct, it is a nice feature. The hydraulic jack option is $2700#ad
...I didn't buy it:D

Just got back with the new trailer. Exactly 48 hrs, 1350 miles. The dealer claims that trailers have went up 17% since I placed my order in December, 16 weeks.

Diamond C was having trouble with the "Will Pops" so they are using Cooper now, made in China:) They look good tho.

Nice Nick!
Do you know what tires Diamond C was running? The Raniers on my new dump look a little suspect....

There is a guy that occasionally delivers rental equipment to our job. Forklifts, small man lifts, scissor lifts, etc. He has a Diamond C, tandem dual with the hydraulic dovetail. The dove tail is a beautiful option but everytime he shows up I can not get over the engineered beams that make up the goose neck. They are a work of art

What are the service intervals on those?

On the caps? Or the oil bath axles? I was just pointing out the upgrade caps over the standard plastic ones. The Valcrum are aluminum with a replaceable sight glass. The plastic ones can crack over time with hot and cold cycles and they leak. I have two on my Lamar seeping that I have to look at.

I am not sure what the recommended service is on an oil change. I have found that the seals will start leaking after about 3 or 4 years, so I wait for that. The unitized seals are expensive and don't like being disturbed. I am not sure why they went to that type seal. I will probably go with a good double lip oil seal when the time comes. The unitized don't wear on the spindle but that is not a concern I have, look at how long the rear axles last on these trucks.

Not really a fan of oil bath with drum brakes. When the seal leaks you have a real mess. The road dust and brake dust will make a greasy goo that you can't hardly clean up. It will also ruin the brake shoes. Disk brakes would be good here, they cant leak on the brakes.

More pictures, seems like I always get a dirty trailer:(

The attention to detail is amazing, pipe spools welded 360 both ends, grommets everywhere, all stress points are plated, extra crossmembers in high load areas made with I-beam not channel, paint appears excellent and Bulldog BX1 hitch.

I like how far outboard they placed the jacks.

I just read up on the torque tube on the underside, nice!

How is the spare mounted? Similar to Load Trail? I'm looking for ideas on how to better secure mine, I hate that it bounces around up there. I also picked up a cover for it to keep the sun off it but do not want to install it until I figure out how to cinch that guy down.

It is bolted to a heavy duty crossmember, like my PJ dump. The Lamar and Loadtrail are/were flimsy. I will take the new spare and mount it on my Lamar wheel and install it on the right rear, I have my Lamar spare mounted on the left rear already. I would rather carry a used spare than a new one.

I sent some pictures to my brother and he asked, "where are the valve stems"? Yup, the wheels are mounted backwards:mad:
