Towing with a 2017 2500 4x4

What does that do to the offset being mounted backwards?
Did they do them all like that?

Yes, all of them. Yet, they show the signature mark of the hub on the face where they were mounted right at one time. I assume they were removed at the factory for stacking the load. Then reinstalled at the dealer.

Just using a tape measure, it appears they are spaced out, about an inch or so. The tire is real close to the outside rail. I should have 2+ inches of clearance when I switch them.

This wheel is -0.5" offset. If these are the same, I will gain an inch plus the thickness of the wheel.

Built a portable 3k ATV winch/mount for my trailer or pickups. I will carry a block for a double line, still kind of anemic but I can't lift an 8k, plus mount around. I bolted an old ball mount to the winch plate and added a piece of 2" aluminum angle for the solenoid and remote socket. I don't think I will build a bracket to mount the roller fairlead, it will just add more weight. I didn't have a 1" drill bit, so I used two bushings and bushed the existing 1" hole to fit a 1/2' bolt.

@NIsaacs, The roller fair lead is a must to keep the cable from wearing the winch drum or getting caught between drum and body. They only add about 5 lbs but provide great benefits. You can get a bracket off EBAY that will go under winch and will allow roller to protect winch and cable with just some longer bolts. If you were closer. I'd give you a used bracket from a dead winch that was on a buddy's trailer. I told him to keep off trailer till he needed it. Didn't listen! The sun and rain killed it! Live and learn. I know it will be a great help with loading trailer. A 3k with block will move a pretty big rolling load! Nice job!!!!!

@NIsaacs, Glad I could save you the fab time to do something else! Like the flap idea to help protect winches! May have to borrow that idea for a future setup. Having the roller on winch for trailer loading is a must, also you can use snatch blocks to help pull to one side of trailer or the other. When I was working small engine repair, the trailer had a hand winch mounted on the corner! Without snatch blocks, would've been impossible to load more the a couple mowers! Other upgrade would be to add wireless remote control to steer load up on trailer when necessary. Just remember on a heavy pull, a heavy blanket or pad on cable can prevent injury or damage if cable breaks or mount point lets loose! Great to be able to get or offer help to others. :)
