OK, got a chance to look at one of the new body styles the other day. And man are they butt ugly!!!!! They look like a cross between a phord and a toyota tundra.

Am I wrong??

Pig snout was what came to my mind. Was looking at buying a new truck but it was going to be a second gen, not 3rd. Guess I'll just keep the old 93 for a while. Maybe Dodge will wise up one of these years.

New 2003

I posted the same description when this site displayed the first picture of it. BUTT UGLY!!! If I want a four door vehicle with the door handles exposed I would buy a Grand Cherokee. I hate four door vehicles but two doors are fading away (Cherokee latest victim). Remember the Ram Charger, Bronco and Blazer two doors? Am I the only one who feels this way about four doors?

I like the body style on my truck. I have to see what the new 3500 4x4's look like in person before I write them off as ugly, but if they look like the 1500 4x4's then I think they are ugly. I know this is just a matter of taste and the new style could grow on you but the first impression is one of ugly :(

2003 truck

When you no longer like the product you switch. e Ford and Chevy are looking better. When GM drops the Firebird and Camero Ford will sell more Mustangs. Ford laughed all the way to the bank when GM dropped the Caprice police and taxi cars.

I'm glad I bought what I did when I did..... and whats with those big dryer vents in the bumper if you don't get fog lights?

Jim

I just went back and looked at the picture on the home page.

BOY YHAT IS A NICE LOOKING TRUCK!!!!

What the h-ll is the matter with you guys, have you been out in the sun too long???

Hey, MOWPAR

I can't get the Lil Red wagon link to come up!

I like the new body style BTW. Just wait till every other truck builder copies the Dodges again! Then I suppose you guys will jump on the band wagon again. I didn't like the second gen trucks when they first came out either! :--)

Can't wait 'till the 3rd generation owners start posting about how the hell to change an oil filter (have to find it first), bigger turbo, injectors(Piers is taking yoga classes)..... not that bombs will be soon available. At least they start off with a 4" system.

The Sport grill is barely tolerable, but the SLT chrome grill is just way too much.

Actually, I like it. A co-worker of mine just bought a 4 door 1500, while I haven't peered inside the cab I like the exterior. To each his own I guess.

The Mustang already doubles the sales of the combined Firebird and Camaro (who started that misspelling with the "e" - been around for decades), and has outsold the GM twins for years. That's why GM is pitching them.

As far as Ford and Chevy looking better, did you see that ridiculous "Mighty Tonka" F350 yet? If you like the Super Duty trucks, get one now, because the next one will look like that trash. And how bland are the GM trucks - they look like slightly cleaned up 1988 models.

Well, IMO, the current (25/35)00 Dodge is the most tired looking truck on the market. The new 1500 looks kind of cheesy, but I find even with the same body style, regardless of brand, the heavier duty trucks always look nicer. Don't know if it's the more serious running gear you get a glimpse of under the truck, or just a psychological thing from knowing it's a big dog underneath.

I don't like it as much as our's but it is starting to grow on me... . Kinda like a fungus, but that's another story all together :D

Strange statement from a guy who just bought a new 2002 truck?? Why did you just buy a 2002, instead of waiting for the 2003, if you thought they were "tired looking"?

Didn't buy it for looks. Just wanted the Cummins and I hate first model year anything.

I understand now and that makes sense. Based on the replies I guess we can all see how everyones taste is, just that everyones taste. No right or wrong answers on this question :D
