New Dtt transmission Controller- Any Reports Yet ?

Any One Try The New Controler From Dtt ? I Saw It Has Three Different Settings And Suppose To Help A Stock transmission Alot , So Any Imput Or Reports Yet On This Device ?#@$%!

Yep, it can be used on a stock trans i have done a few already. The transmission shifts more like the truck has a TV cable since in essence that is what the shift enhacer does. Just remember IF YOU TVVA ACCUATOR is going bad or is throwing codes this will not solve your problem, the TVVA accutaor will need to be replaced first. The TVVA can throw codes and not set off your check engine light so you have to pull codes first.

I read their discrip several times and still don't know what its all about except for the OD lock out.

With TH I get 2nd and 3rd gear converter locks, maybe the controller is for pre TH models? Or maybe they mean you can select / deselect lock up on the fly manually?

What will this controller do for an 05 owner?

Hey Matt,

That is the smart comtroller for the exhaust brake and TC control. What 1965LONEWOLF is talking about is the shift enhancer for the 04. 5 and up trucks with the accuator for TV control. Sorry but I did not follow your link before. If you have any questions, Call me 786-543-9176.

For the owners of 04. 5 trucks and up... The Throttle Valve cable (TV) along with the apps was replaced. The new system is drive by wire where the ECM controls eveything. If you see pictures of the engine 0n 98. 5-04. 5 trucks... they have a throttle assembly before the intake horn. That has since then been removed... the apps sensor so to say is a part of the "go" pedal and the TV cable was replaced by the T. V. V. A which you have on your 06. The shift enhancer is a programable controler for the trucks with the accutator I explaned above and helps to resolve shifting issues which owers are experiencing with the new trucks. 1-2 or 2-3 gear hunting which is the most common complaint with modifed and even stock Valve bodies. You can do a serch and read up more on the subject.

Is this the main function or will it do other things?

I did a search for "shift enhancer" and came up empty here, don't find it on their site either.

The shift enhancer is a tuning device for transmission techs and diesel mechanics.

It works on the 2004 . 5 and later model Dodge rams. We will have it up soon just have not had time to get all the info on the site.



If anyone was to do a pressure test on their unit whether factory, modified you will see that these trucks have no line pressure rise. You can actually sit and build 20 lbs of boost and see no line pressure rise. As far as the trans is concerned you are sitting there idling . It does not recognise the load.



The more power you have the worse this problem becomes.

Everyone in the industry is aware of the problem , factory transmissions and factory hp trucks continously hunt back and forth between gears. It will help with this as well.



This unit does not control transmission functions it only deals with line pressure.

Because you would always be shifting at 2500 RPM even with minimal load - the line pressure does many things besides clamp the clutches tight.

I wouldn't say that. I know several folks that run crazy line pressure, and the trannies are fine.
