I am investigating running a taller tire on my 96 dually and am curious what the offset difference is between mine and the new truck dually wheels. The 215/85R - 16s just arent my idea of a tire that belongs on a 1 ton. I heard that 235s are borderline on my stock wheels. Any input appreciated!

Justbeamn is correct... you won't get into trouble til you try to put 255s on the old wheels. Then they are too tight with any type of load. I am about ready for new tires, and I have read everything I can on this. There is lots of previous threads discussing this, if you can get the search to work for ya. It seems to be intermittent for me :(

255/85/16

99+ Wheels Do have a different offset (What it is exactly I dunno) but as you can see the 255's in this pic Have not rubbed together under load whatsoever.
