RMTDR Dyno Day Sept 13th

Hey all, those of you that went to the PFI dyno day a couple weekends ago in Fort Collins remember the good times. Shay has arranged another get together but this time it will be in Castlerock. Here is the email she sent me:

Hey Dodge guys!

We have another opportunity to do a Dyno Day on August 16th. This time it would be at Colorado Diesel in Castlerock. There is no "all day fee", the shop would just be charging us $20 per run.

We are trying to see if we have enough interest again so soon after our PFI Dyno Day to do this one. We would like to include you guys.

If one of you could post this over on TDR, I would appreciate it. Anyone who wants to dyno can show their interest by emailing me or by going to our club website and posting their interest (link http://coloradopsdclub.allturbopower.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=278 ). If it looks like we will have enough trucks, we will do it! No schedule or anything, just everyone be there when it starts and get in line.

Thanks guys,

Shay Black

Is this going to be the same place that the last TDR dyno day was at?

I understand that there was some question about the accuracy of their equipment. If it is the same place, hopefully they will have the bugs worked out.

Jrandol:

The RMTDR has a dyno day setup on Saturday September 13th in Castle Rock how about we invite them to ours this time. Same deal as last time down there $20 runs.

I go AC/DC...

If it's a TDR event, I'll bring my 99 Ram 3500. If it's a PSD event, I'll bring my 96 F350 PSD CC Dually. I got this way because I never have been able to make up my mind. Seriously, would like to dyno the Dodge, haven't since I done some tricks. Fords probably outta the question. It's at the office. . . I drive 1,150 miles to work. Talk about having to leave early to get there on time.

Be Safe,

Steve J.

It looks their dyno day is a go for Aug 16. I'm probably going to try and attend this one since I'm going to be out state most of the month of September. Hopefully they won't mind a Dodge guy at their dyno day... :D

Well,

I just like to say I had a great time at the dyno meet Saturday. The Ford guys are a great bunch of people and it was nice to meet fellow TDR member 98rammer. The ride he gave me in his truck was pretty fun... Tons of smoke :D . I was happy with my torque number (567. 7) but not my hp (169. 7). If anyone wants to see the results that Jeff from the powerstroke club emailed me PM me with your email address and I'll email it to you. If I'm still here in September I'll be seeing ya'll there at the September meet hosted by RMTDR.

joe, it was cool meeting you and everyone else. smoke? what smoke:confused: ;) :D i do believe that those dyno numbers are off, especially if you're plate is most of the way forward. it wasn't just us CTD guys complaining... (btw, why does Mark's truck light up the tires so well and mine wont even do a one wheel spinnger without powerbraking?).

i'll probably head down on the 13th meeting if there's going to be a good # of trucks there.

still had fun,

Tom

It was nice meeting you too Tom and next time I may ask to drive your truck and you can drive mine... The look on that lady's face in the white minivan after you smoked her was priceless:D That is kinda weird about your truck vs. Marks truck and the whole spinning the tires thing. Mark's been able to light up his tires ever since he bought that truck and he is going to be able to light them up even more after he adds some more power to it (Edge Box). He was told by our diesel mechanic friend that his transmission is indeed slipping so he wants to tow around my truck on a couple of big hills down south to verify that it is slipping  Hopefully if it is he'll be able to get it warrentied and get another one. I will try and make it up too, but hopefully I'm able to get my governor spring kit in and my gauges. Right now I know of at least 4 other friends Dodges that will be attending the event besides Mark and if was like the last event in April it will be a good one...

Joe

yeah, anybody can drive my truck if they feel like it. Mark doesn't have any major slippage or so to say, but maybe the internal clutches are slipping some. i'm sure mine would be be if his are. i can slip my converter clutch or 3rd and 4th clutch packs if i try hard enough (very easy as sea level though). but my transmission has held the power for a long time with too much.

otherwise, i have a buddy that'll probably come down on the 13th too- straight piped HO with guages (Iron Horse on the DTR).
