I've never seen a Dyno, to my knowledge but a new shop opened up near Keller, TX that seems to have one. I believe the business is A-S Automotive Motor Sports, and their sign advertises "Dynojet". Is this the real thing, or something else? If it is the real thing, how much should one expect to pay to have them measure HP and torque? My truck is stock, but I'm still curious about the process and if it's reasonably priced I'd like to see what my truck is kicking out in terms of power.

I have a co-worker that says they are usually around $75 where he goes. On Saturday they offer a special for $30. The place is called Mike Exclusive Custom. 414 Grapevine Hwy, Hurst Tx. I am in no way affiliated with Mike's. If it sounded like a good deal to someone it would save them some time looking them up.

I have wanted to go and see what mine is running. It is bone stock.

The cost will depend on the shop. I have seen places that charge $100 for 3 runs, and some that charge $50 for 2 runs, $75 for 3. It just depends really. As for being the real thing, I'm sure it is, but there are many different models of dynojets, so who knows. :)

Call and ask what model of Dynojet it is.

If you want good HP and torque readouts, the shop will need the optical engine speed trigger option for the Dynojet. The Dynojet gets its engine speed signal from the ignition of a gasser, but with no spark ignition, a diesel requires the optical trigger. I'd suggest asking the shop if their Dynojet is set up with this option.

If not, your graph is going to have road speed instead of RPM on the X-axis.
