new ECM high idle news

Has anyone got any new info/hints on the ECM high idle dillema? I know a lot of guys have given up on this out of pure disgust. After seeing my buddy's ford ramp up this morning, I have decided, come hell or high water, mine will do that too. After all, it is a factory function of the ECM, right? I know this has been beat to death, several times, but enough is enough! I am looking for any updates the dealers might have done to get yours to work or things to look for like which sensors to check/ and/or replace. My dealer has called STAR and got as much info about the program/reflash as he could. It goes in next Tuesday, for the third time. I need suggestions or ideas to tell the diesel mechanic to try to help him to get it to work. Any thoughts, ideas or hints? Thanks

Since it is only like $160 I plan to get the PS high idler for my truck. Why go to the dealer if you don't have to.

My thoughts exactly, I had the kit installed faster than I could have driven to the dealer,and no criteria to be met in order for it to work,I turn it on it's on, and stays on 'till I turn it off! How cool!
