My New Truck

If your thinking about buying a Flashpaq....

I put my Edge Juice with Attitude on my 1999 tonight. Got it out on the road for a test drive, and it just doesn't seem to have much umph.

Here's the details:

truck:

1999 QC/LB 6speed, 4x4, BHAF, stock VP, and stock lift pump.

truck was properly warmed up before playing.

box was set to 5x5

Box:

Pierced pump wire

Egt's NEVER went over 1000

Boost NEVER went over 14

Fuel Pressure never dropped below 10psi

Did I possibly NOT pierce the wire?

Is the wastegate stuck open?

What else?

Thanks,

Andy

i think there is a defuel mode on the juice, double check that none are on then be sure you made all the connections---disconect then reconect all of them and then verifie you made the wire splice correctly, if that dont work send it back.

I put on the Edge supplied boost elbow this morning. It APPEARS that the one that was on there was just wide open. It didn't seem to have any form of restriction. I managed to get the boost up to around 22 with this change. That made a moderate difference in seat-of-the-pants. It's also a lot more responsive to the throttle.

Let me also say that the previous owner had installed some form of seemingly mickey mouse turbo... It's a WH1C (screams first gen I know). There was a blue silicon hose going from the elbow to the wastegate, so I figured the elbow was set up for the turbo. Replacing the elbow with the Edge one DID make a difference.

I didn't have time to check the wire tap for proper piercing, but will do that tonight.

I have a good idea what it SHOULD feel like with the box on kill, but it's just not feeling that way.

Thanks for the help so far. Keep the suggestions coming please.

Andy
