Installed my new F1 mach 3. 8's last week and boy what a change. Kept track of EGT's on my usual run before and after and found straight cruising with 5000lbs behind lowerd 100 degrees from the DD2's. Pulling short grades about 50 degrees. All on cruise in OD at 60mph. Idles quieter and milage went up on last tank 1. 5 mpg. Bought from Bob Wagner, great service and pleasant to deal with. DW
 
Sweet sticks aren't they!! Oo. I too saw a decrease in egt's from my previous Mach 1. 5's, except of course when I lean on it heavy. :rolleyes: I didn't get the milage increase but I didn't lose much either.
 
According to Don M. they are around 10 hp less. This is done primarily to lower egt's when towing heavy & it does help with the smoke levels too. I've never run the 4's so I can't really offer a comparison. My 3. 8's are easy to drive... . great low speed manors. Granted, it takes a light touch.
 
I Talked to DWest today and I am very pleased with his results :)



If you can go to a larger injector and come out on top that is fantastic :D

:confused: I can't come close to those numbers and I am only running 1. 5's!!

Are you still running a stock turbo??

I have to downshift to 2nd gear to pull my fiver over a speed bump :( and my egt's still go through through the roof.

How's your boost? If it's fine i would guess either a serious (and wierd) problem with your ez, or more likely... a bad pyrometer.



Your temps are just too far out of line. No way you should be having as high of egt's as your getting with the setup your running...

I agree Chris, I shouldn't have these kind of egt's with this setup. My boost is 30-31 PSI and we did find that the gauge is reading off a little. I still don't think that is the real problem! Still investigating this!!
 
Dodgezilla turbo

DL: I've got the Dodgezilla with a 14 cm wastegated housing. If I were to do it again I would maybe get the 12 cm instead for less lag.
 
Lost lag

The 3. 8s have for the most part eliminated any lag. At very low rpms under load I have to roll into the fuel to avoid smoke, but it seems these injectors were just what the Dodgezilla turbo needed. DW
