Uh... straight... yea, yea ... they're straight. Found 'em off a dealer's lot... er, I took them off my own truck... uhh. . twice. I'll sell em to you for a nickel bag... I mean cheap. No, no, they're in great shape. . uh they do smell like bong water, but it goes away after a few thousand miles...

Tech Session (KDP)

Hello Rammers,

Are there any future tech sessions planned? I need to do the KDP and maybe some other goodie upgrades.

Fatboy,

You mean a wrench day? Well there's nothing official yet, but I do hear rumors that one may be in the pipeline.

You might want to talk to Holeshot... he's probably done more KDP's than any of us in the NE, In One Day!

We do enjoy our Wrench days, don't we?

Hey stay away from this place a few hours and missing out on what's going on! YOU guys kill me:)

MTY don't need to remind me it's the old age:rolleyes:

Don't know if I'll be able to make as there's too much going on, busy and bumping into all kinds of things.

Bumper don't look as bad as I thought, a nice Cummins sticker will fix it.

MarkF all kidding aside lift pump does seem a little loud now, not sure if it's the cold weather or the bumper.

Sweet!

How many KDP's have you done where the truck had a fully-hydraulic snowplow on it? BSoldie had one on his 2nd-Gen 12-valve and I sweared more while doing his KDP than any other... .

We only had one plowframe to work around. The rest were 2 wd and a lot easier to deal with... plus our 1st gens have loads of room to work compared to the newer ones!

Drill jig is also angled out slightly so you don't have to remove the alternator to drill. :D

Not CPFF's jig.....

This came from the left coast... Bob Beauchaine. It is supossedly a 1st gen jig, and supposedly they are different.

I'll be making one eventually, and I can compare with the 2nd gen jig.

I am definitely interested in the next Wrench Day. I would like to kill the deadly pin soon before bad luck catches up with me. It's been so darn cold, Iv'e limited my driveway repairs to emergencies only, LOL.

yea... shish kabob skewers and lobster implements

... a turbo charged lobster boiler... . several hot grills, steamers... . many, many coolers

We also made use of a can of carb-cleaner and a lighter..... PigPen loved that part. :D

About the KDP jig... . I didn't realize that there was a difference between the 1st and 2nd gen jigs. It makes sense - the gear housings are completely different to accomodate the VE and P-pumps... .
