Hey, who invited a gasser to a diesel event?



Back on subject, is anyone counting votes? I talked with Scott tonight and we need to get some idea how many are coming. If we can get enough people that are definitely going, we can reserve the track for an entire hour, and have it all to ourselves. But we need people who are definitely going!! If you are going to no-show, you need to send a substitute or suffer the consequences. And if we do reserve, you need to be there on time. Prep for the reserved hour means everyone has to be there at least an hour in advance. And you should also know there is no drinking before taking the track. Not to worry, we can make up for it afterwards. Right?



This is still a go even if we don't get the minimum number of folks to reserve the track, we just end up sharing it with the other walk ins! But let's be fair to Scott who is going to reserve the track and pony up the deposit if we decide to go that route, okay?



Scott also suggested that we do a wrench day on the Saturday before the race day, that would be the 22nd. Anyone wanting to stay over could stay overnight, there's a decent hotel near the shop.



Let's shoot for the 23rd to be the F1 day and see how many can make it. Sorry to ask you all to ante up again, but could you email me, or PM me if you are definitely going? I'll take the count.

i took down a light pole on Rte. 9 the first week of Jan.

What did that light pole do to you to make you want to go attacking it?



Or is it mating season and all those light poles have gone hormone crazy, and started running out in front of cars to impress the females?

I don't know about CT, but here in MA this is the story... or at least my side of it.



The insurance Co. will give you a check - and yes you do have to fix the truck to its original pre-accidenct shape/size.



The kicker - if you want to fix the truck yourself, you have to foot the bill for all the parts. Why? - because the check is made out to your lein holder (bank - only if you have a loan on your truck, which most of us do... . ) and you - so your bank isn't going to sign the check until the work is done.



I got two new stainless steel bumpers, a condensor, and a 24-valve intercooler out of the drunkard that decided to rear-end me... .



After the truck was fixed, the lady at the bank went out into the parking lot and said that she would feel bad about the next person I hit as a result of a rear-end collision.



I whacked a huge doe back in mid-September with the new front bumper - and had no damage. The same can't be said for an OEM bumper - that's for sure.

ok--all i did was let off the go fast pedal and the rear end snapped around on me. almost took it in the driver's door. worked to get it straight and caught the pole with the right headlight. it ALMOST fell on the brand new RAM following me.



took out the bumper, hood, fender, light bar, radiator, a/c, intercooler, commpressor for the horns, right side battery and whatever else. estimate was $9216. 60.



hardest hit of my life. like i said THANK GOD i was in the truck or i might not be here.

as far as new bumpers, www.central4wd.com has the UTE bull bars for a good price.

I'm working both days on this #@$%! tunnel,the wrench day sounds better than sunday,80% chance of me showing but have to leave around 2. Planning on some mods in the spring so that day will help. It's my first one so be gentle looking forward to meeting you all. Hey is firechick going to be there. we have a common interest, I am a High Angle Rescue Instructor.

Scott will chime in with directions eventually - I'm not good with directions... . most of my driving is from memory and I seldom look at signs... . too busy looking at the 'wildlife' and so forth.
