Well, all the new equipment is installed and up and running. They are running on new IP addresses so it will take a day or two for everyone to be hitting them. Please report any bugs that you find here in this thread and I'll do my best to get on them right away. For the geeks out there here's a picture of all of the equipment that keeps this place humming along. We've well over doubled the capacity of the site with the new equipment and will be easily able to expand that further as the need arises.
I'd like to thank Robert and Robin for giving me the support needed to keep this place humming along. They never balk at spending what is needed to provide top notch service for you guys and it's great working with them on it. For you geeks out there here is what we're running on now:
Front end
---------
HW firewall
Foundry ServerIron load balancer
Two IBM 336 1u file servers with
2 dual core Xeon processors each
2gb DDR memory
70GB SCSI HD
Gigabit ethernet for local traffic
100 Mbit ethernet for public traffic
Back end
---------
Gigabit Ehernet switch
Master database server
-----------------------
2 Dual Core Xeon Processors
2gb DDR memory
5 30GB SCSI HD's in a 5+1 raid array
80gb IDE HD for backup purposes
Gigabit ethernet for local traffic
100 Mbit ethernet for public traffic
Bakcup database/development server
------------------------------------
2 AMD 1. 9 Processors
2GB DDR memory
5 30 GB SCSI HD's in a 5+1 raid array
Gigabit ethernet for local traffic
100 Mbit ethernet for public traffic
Then for power backup we have a 3000va UPS which will keep things running until the buildings standby generators come online.
Now I'm off to BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG week.
