new factory power?

Will the new ecm program be compatiable with our older 24 valve engines to produce those hp/torque ratings, or am I missing the whole point (with the re-designing of the engine/fuel system)? I cant say I am crazy with that body styling or the fact the engine is designed to be 8-10 db. quieter. I WONT trade up again until they offer a true crewcab. Man, am I happy I got one when I did!:-laf

The new programming DEFINATELY won't be compatible with the existing 24v engines - the fuel system is completely different. Out of curiousity why would you care? You can go WAY beyond those specs very easily with the current engine. Even if the new programming would work it would still void your warranty - so just go with the existing aftermarket mods and enjoy! To coin a common phrase, "you couldn't pry much truck from my cold dead fingers!"
