Has anyone tried this new fan that Geno's has? They claim a 39% flow increase over the oem. I wonder if the oem clutch will hold up to the extra torque?
I made a round trip to Willcox this weekend towing my sled puller and watched my water temps really close. This is one of the toughest hauls in the country, 6-7% grades all the way down and all the way back. Even after I down shift to 5th at about 215-220* it will barely hold it's own and 5th is easy pulling.
I was surprised at my rear axle temps tho, after about 120 miles on the return trip (easy going here) it was cool, about 75* it was only 145* so I checked my son's Ford dually and it was even less 135*. The tires all ranged from 95 to 110, truck and trailers, the hottest were the inside tires on the dually.
