New features - search, new posts, & last days posts now customizable; thread preview

Hey Steve

Love the new "view new post" feature... ... but can't seem to get the "preview" feature to work, doesn't seem to matter how long I leave the cursor there. Any ideas what is happening? Something in my settings?

Windscreen - I had considered putting it in the sub forums as well but had decided not to so that the FAQ's would always show up. However, I forgot about the chapters sub forums. I'll implement that tonight - thanks for the suggestion.



kboettcher - the preview feature uses the a href "title" tag to work. Not all browsers support that - so yours may not support it.



BTW, 119 users have already used the customized forum search feature! Glad you guys like it!

kboettcher - it should support it, I'm running IE 6. 0 . I just realized that it does not do it on the search page (which would also mean view new posts, etc) - I will make it do it there tonight as well. Not sure if that's where you are trying to see it or not - try going to the regular forums display and point at one of the threads and see what happens and let me know.

Ok, the thread preview should now work on all of the search pages as well.

You can now turn the sub-forums (such as the Local and Regional Chapters & Events sub-forums) on or off as well.

OK Steve... it works now... . I guess I was trying it on a different search page than you had wrote the code for. But I see it works on all of them now. I always use the "view new posts since your last visit" page, guess that was the problem. Works good now tho and that sure is a slick feature..... Thanks Steve, you are the KING.

I'm finally getting this figured out. Great job Steve, but we are never totally happy. Now, can you sort the "new since last visit" list by topic first and then by date? Mostly, I'm just kidding, but it would be a nice feature.
