Well, I finally got them painted and put them on. Buschwacker pocket style. I just replaced my 35's with these 33's and the flares seemed to get bigger when that happened. Now I'm not sure if I like them as much but we'll see... .

I had the painter paint the insets (where the fake bolts are) a darker gray to help set them off and make it look more rugged. Let me know how ya'll like em! If I still feel they are too much for the 33's I might be intrested in sellin' em

I like 'em a lot. I dig the 33's too, 35's look like they are crowding the well too much. Just my opinion though, some guys like the look of crowded wheel wells. I really like the darker grey for the fake bolts, painter did a good job. Definitely a keeper.

I had those last year. They WILL TOTALLY ruin the paint underneath them. Mine was nearly worn to the metal within 4 months. If you plan on leaving them on there for the life of the truck, it's one thing. If you ever decide to remove them, be prepared to be ****** off when you see what has happened beneath them while all the while you thought they were protecting the paint. That rubber strip around the outside might as well be made of sandpaper.

if i keep them, I'll mark where they are and remove them and apply some 3m tape where the flares will reinstall. 3M is easier to get off than it is to repaint the truck.

You got that right! It's a lot cheaper too. :-laf

Great job Hawkeye. I like the look very much!!! I have an 03 sport, and the lack of chrome is getting to me. I may have to think about something like this. It breaks up the flat body panels, and stays with the mostly paint look!!
