Cummins in Columbus Ohio?

Adventures with a sound meter

Hey, thanx for the link. I enjoyed the reading.

FWIW though I believe that particular paragraph was referring to transmission longevity design being up to 250K miles. I'm not sure how that relates to everyone elses transmission.

I like learning what everyones up too. The better they get - the better the Dodge will get.

Did they by any chance indicate when the engine and new transmission would be availalbe. The reason why I am looking at the "the other guys" are doing is that I may be having to "jump ship" to get a 4 door. If I'm doing it- and even thinking of trying to pull it off - the timing is right - there is a cash back now and my bank is a 4. 99. Doubt the opportunity will strike again. But I really would like the extra oompfh and 5 speed. Now that I got my truck bombed to my satisfaction:{

If.........

you are willing to give up the best engine design on earth with 305 HP, 555 Torque, (2003 3/4-1 ton)for the small difference in the Dodge quad cab, and the Ford crew cab, you might regret that decision. Kind of like kissing your sister.

Heck, I'm perfectly happy with the engine I have now. I hesitate to think what the HP level is on it as I have it dialed in now. NEver been on a dyno.

I'm afraid however that the definition of the amount of difference between my quad and a Ford Crew is quite subjective. For you its small or little. For some its huge. And for me its a matter of fits and doesn't fit.

Rear facing child seats do not fit behind the driver or passenger seat in the quad and even a forward facing seat with child requires the passenger seat to be place far enough forward for the Mrs. knees to be jammed into the dash (literally) complete with the need to de-activate the bag.

Nope - I'd never begrudge anyones love for our beloved cummins - but I have to be realistic too - I was waiting to learn about the next dodge before deciding - but its time - My daughter is 2 - we survivied happily - we now have a 6 week old son - we tried our first adventure - wasn't a big hit - don't foresee anymore 1200 mile jaunts to the corvette museum or 12 hr rides to michigan till we change rigs.
