Carfax report

Ford Truck owners and Coors Light drinkers

Driving from Missouri to Tennessee today we passed something we've never seen before. Riding on a flatbed trailer was a Ford F-650 SIX-door chassis cab. It seemed to be destined to become a fifth-wheel hauler, as the frame stub-out in back was only around 8-ft long -- too short for a useful flatbed or dump bed, although a service body would fit. Anyone know if this is a new factory offering from Ford or a 3rd-party custom job? Sorry, no pictures, but those three doors down the side were pretty cool.

I'll be glad when DC gives Ford some competion in the 4500 and up market.

It might be headed for a DOT somewhere. I have seen 6 door trucks, the county and state DOT both have them. They need the extra room for the employees to sleep ;)

I still don't get the use for this model truck with a dually bed. Are you just driving around town in this? I don't see a municipal or state fleet buying the pimped out version, maybe a stripped down mode. Why would you get something so big and have to use a bumper pull trailer? I can see a no bed option for a nice 5'er.
