I posted a thread a year or two ago about my Masons 06 Ford being in the shop 15 times for heads cracking & no power etc. Last summer he pulled in a gas station to fill up, got back in the truck & no start. He pushed it to parking spot away from the pump because it was midnight & figured he would get it in the morning. He came back in the morning & it was burned up completely. The police said that it was a electrical problem that caused the fire. He got his money & decided to run his old chevy around with plans of finding a old 12v truck A. S. A. P

Did he tell you the part where he came back at 3:00 in the morning with a gas can and a lighter?

Left that part out, huh?:D

And I love the part where the cops diagnose the cause of the fire. "Hey, do you guys smell gasoline?"

"Duh, yeah. Your'e in a gas station. "

"Oh. "

Pure genius. Nice.

:-laf:-laf:-laf I say that all the time. Dunno, maybe.

SAD, but interesting quote:

Yep they over heat, the radiators blow the seems. We've also been seeing fuel harness's go bad. They have to remove the truck cab to replace the fuel haness's. Other things are the injector coolers, harmonic balancers, fan hubs, and fumes inside the cab.

I've been told that ford is telling guys with the bad radiators that they won't replace them until they blow the seems. It doesn't take a genuis to figure out when the radiator blows the seems the engine is going to get hot and cause more damage.

One of the guys here is on his 4th or 5th radiator, and has been towed in 8 times with only 18,000 miles on his truck.

Another guy here has his truck in the shop for the second time that I know of. He has a bad radiator, oil leaks, and now the transmisson is having problems.

The real slap in the face was when the dealer sent a Dodge out to pull his loaded trailer in.

Don't get me wrong I've always liked Ford trucks, it's just these 6. 0 and 6. 4 engines that are having problems. When these trucks go down under a load shippers start getting upset.

With the 6. 0 we know of two Owner Operators that went under because of constantly breaking down. Now we're seeing the guys with the 6. 4's going through the same thing.
