Someone just backed into my truck, :-{} which dented the front bumper and broke the bumper cover. The estimate to replace it is a little over $600. 00. Does anyone know of a better looking / stronger bumper around that price range? Or should I just go back to the stock bumper?

Ron, I just bought a NEW bumper for $200 which included new top black piece and lower gray piece. It was $100 for the chrome piece and $40 - $45 apiece for the plastic pieces. The only part I have to buy is the gray inserts, but if they're not damaged just reuse them.

I bought my bumper through a local wrecking yard. I found out many wrecking yards sell new parts and will order in for you and shipping is free, if you go and pick it up at their place.

I did the same thing except i got it for free. Another good place to try is body shops, got a tail gate with all the guts for $40. Just another thought

Heh . . . you must have some sort of inside connection  LOL

I ended up buying a Buckstop bumper. Non winch, no grill guard. Nice, Quality bumper except for the unnecassary holes. Unfortunately they made the bumper with the holes for the grill guard, even though it was special ordered with no grill guard. After I received it and inquired about the unwanted holes, I was told that they could have been filled in for an additional charge. Be careful if ordering a bumper with no grill guard from Buckstop. There is no mention of the holes, or extra charges to have a bumper made without them. Their pictures of the non grill guard bumper has no holes. They are offering plugs to cover the holes, but I don't believe the plugs will last as long as this bumper will and definately does not look as proffesional as no holes at all. I also received the wrong hardware kit and incomplete instructions. Other than that, it is a nice bumper and gets noticed everywhere. (so do the holes)

I run an ARB Sahara bar. Deer tesed now :O and it didn't get a scratch. A little more rounded and smoothed looking than the sledpuller unit but the same general idea. Solid built unit and ARB stands behind their products.

I bought mine online / phone. I did get a discount being a TDR member, but it was a very lengthy process, and the bumper is not the same as pictured or what I expected to receive. It has extra holes in the top of the bumper for a grill guard. Being a special order, and no mention of holes on their website the holes should not have been there. Buckstop is very slow to respond. I am still waiting for a reply about receiving a bumper with the extra holes that should not have been there and for the remainder of the missing hardware. Are you interested in a bumper with a grill guard? Maybe we could work out a deal with them and I could get the one I ordered (no grill guard, no holes)

It's a nice bumper, but not sure I would deal with them again, if this is how they handle customer complaints.

Good luck.

I've seen no mention of Ranch Hand. They're a little pricey, but very good looking, and very strong. Good customer service too.

I absolutely love my Denver Off Road front bumper. Well past the $600 range the OP was looking for, but if you only want to do it once... just one more option to keep in mind.

T-6061 Aluminum 3'8" thick everywhere. Total weight for the bumper is ~135 #'s. I installed it completely by myself in about 2 hours, which included getting the old off.

I have tons opf pictures of the install in my Readers Rigs section.

I actually just got the Lone Star Bumper for my truck and since I went and picked it up in Texas, I got it for 650 out the door... My uncles are both welders and ones going to go get one for his Dara Dud. I Love this bumper, just get rid of the little bolts that will snap if you decide to pull something with it that hold it on. "OEM Bolts". Oh, I did get the 2 inch reciver option... I love this bumper, people used pull out in front of me all the time, now they'll start to pull out and then STOP when the take another look... . I just blow a little smoke as I pass them. Even at 750 it's worth it. Your intercooler, oil cooler, radiator, and in my case the main reason I bought it is, my Family was beind that OEM PLASTIC CRAP... Now I crusie with confindence, knowing I can hit a elk and only have to worry about a alighnment...
