Yesterday I went almost 400 miles - to SEattle and back. Clear in teh very early morning - 40 degrees and no wind..... REturned in rain all the way home... I didn't go over 63 and that was for only a very short time - eased onto the freeway and did everything for mileage EXCEPT I did use the cruise so she would accelerate and EGT's would climb on a grade... ... I managed to get 22. 03... :) . . and this is hand calculated FULL to FULL! I mean my rig I can fill up to the brim which I do... ... Now remember that I was usually running around 57-59 MPH!

Now-it would have only cost me an additional $10 to travel at 70 and save almost an hour and a half - NOT WORTH IT IMO.....

400 mile trip 57 MPH 70 MPH

Mileage 22 18. 5

Gallons consumed 18 21. 5

Fuel Cost @ $2. 8 $50. 40 $60. 20

Time to go 400 Miles 7 5. 7

Now last summer I did this experiment and reported on it ---
