I just bought the fuel pressure gauge hose from Geno's as the assembly I have thrown together is Cheesy at best. I noticed that the 2 ends are different. One has just the fitting on it while the other looks like would go on a valve that has a core of some type. Anybody know which end goes on my pressure transmitter and which one goes on banjo fitting I put on the bottom of my fuel filter housing? Also, since this hose is only 18" long compared to my current 36" line, where is a good spot to mount the pressure transmitter?

Thanks in advance,

Pat

Pat- If you're thinking of the new hose assembly that I think you are, it is for the trucks (2001 as an example) that have the schrader valve test port on the VP pump. It does not connect to the banjo bolt. For this, many are simply using grease gun hoses with and without snubbers.

I intend on following Bills (Illflem) advice of installing a ball valve off the Banjo bolt so I can restrict pressure via the valve and have a shut off if ever a problem should develop.

When I did mine I followed Bill's idea of the needle valve. Works great. Got mine at a local plumbilg supply. I use a SS braided from Summit to get from the needle valve to the sender. My senders are the Westach KV type. No moving parts. Have worked very well so far, but that is only a month or so, time will tell.
