Kids, don't try this at home. Just for fun, the wife and I thought of the many ways to cut our fuel expence. Cast your vote!

. :-laf :-laf This is in no way to offend anyone. Just to take the edge of the high prices. Just thought we could all need a good laugh.

Works for me!! :-laf :-laf

Might have better luck with the hose on the other end and pork-n-beans!

I just filled today and it was $100. 00 Cha-Ching

i just filled up $100cdn funds and it wasn't a full tank. it was where the pay at pump stopped... diesel is up $0. 10 per liter from the last time i filled up :( almost $1. 00 a liter now :(:(:(

That's funny right there. But Matt's right, it would be even funnier if the hose were connected to your rear end and you were sitting at a table eating beans.

Great way to loose weight too. Someone mentioned on another thread that Costco is selling vegetable oil for $3 / gallon, and no road tax either.

Well when that vegetable oil is $. 50 cheaper than diesel I think I might try some 20% mix and see what happens. If that works then maybe 50% mix, etc. My fuel bill is close to the truck note now, and it could be more any time!

Interesting :)

You know I am not sure I buy this, in fact I am sure I don't. It is not like the electricity the guy gets from plugging it in comes out of thin air. It might make that guy feel good, but I bet they are burning a whole bunch of coal/oil/natural gas/nuclear fuel in someone else's backyard to get that electricity and is probably being "shipped" thousands of miles at an efficiency of less than 30% (line losses). Great for the environment in California, bad for the environment in the place that produces the power. And quoting MPG for a plug-in car is just dumb, I suppose you could just never run the engine and get infinite MPG. Sorry, this type of environmental hypocrisy is one of my pet peeves.
