new gage wireing

I removed my 3 gage set from the a piller on my 94 Cummins 2wd auto and installed it on my 2004. 5 3500 SRW auto 2x4 4door cummins. Since i don't have a shop manual yet , where is the easyest place to pick up lighting voltage & keyed on voltage to power gages?

Use a test light to find what you need.

i got my light power at the headlight switch. i backprobed the wires and found the wire that dims with the dashlights. for the power i went straight to the fuse box and found key on power source.

Ditto on the light power from the headlight switch. The panel where the light switch is is about 6" x 6" and should just pop out. Does your '04. 5 have that small trash bag hook? If so, remove the phillips screw that holds it on, then pop the dash section around the radio out so you can access the cigarette lighter circuit for power. Compared to my old '95 Ford, these dash pieces are like Lego! Hope this helps
