A friend of mine and I both purchased Autometer (Cobalt) gauges. He has a 98. 5 and just finished installing his gauges. I have a 2001 and mine should be installed this coming week.

My question is: What readings should we expect to see for the boost, pyrometer and fuel pressure ???.

Both trucks are stock with low mileage (59,000 & 88,000 miles). As far as the fuel pressure goes, what psi should a solid running lift pump run ?

Thanks very much !

Matt

Minimum fuel pressure should not dip below 10psi.

Stock boost readings should max out around 18 to 21 psi with no mods.

EGT will max out around 1250 or 1300 max pre-turbo under a real good load.

The EGT reading in particular may vary quite a bit depending on load and elevation.

I never saw over 1100 on exh temp in stock form under heavy load and depending what turbo you have you could see up to 28-30 I believe with a Hx35 I had a hy35 and would hit 22 psi boost stock. And yes all depending on load ambient temp and elevation.

Thanks for the reply's !

So at WOT the fuel pressure should still not dip below 10psi ? Would that be the number not to go below ?

Were at sea level here !

I will see what we are getting for readings and report back !

Thanks you guys !!!
